I was recently made aware of a research project that is happening regarding fireflies and why they seem to be disappearing.  Now, at our house, we have thousands of fireflies that we watch twinkle all summer long, but apparently that is not always the case everywhere.  So, I encourage everyone, whether you have fireflies or not, to participate in this research study with us.  It only takes 10 minutes a week to do…the researchers are trying to determine factors that may encourage or discourage fireflies from being in a particular area.

Here is the site with the information on it: https://www.mos.org/fireflywatch/

This is a great project to do with the kids…I know mine *love* going out and watching the fireflies!
